Happy New Year...

Yesterday we celebrated many times with a drink and a kiss.
1pm... Happy New Year in Sydney where most of our family and friends are... in the pub across the road from Jane Austens old home.
3pm... Happy New Year in Korea where Briony and Joon are... at Winchester Cathedral with just a kiss.
4pm... Happy New Year in Hong Kong where Tomos is performing... with a beer/diet coke and a kiss at Tim's old Local, the Fulflood Arms
11pm... Happy New Year in France where we will be next month... with a good night kiss because we were all Happy New Yeared out.

In Romsey the Church bells rang for an hour or so then at midnight fireworks started going off, I got out of bed to see them through the window but that was impossible because they weren't in just one place like they are in Austraila, they are banned for private sale at home but here you can by fireworks at lots of shops so they were going off all over the place... in the rain.

David has gone into Winchester today for a big Bus do which I'm sure he will write about later... I decided a gentle walk around Romsey, a gentle catch up with the Blog and some gentle sewing while watching some excellent TV was much preferable for me.

Hi Pennie, I finally found your blog! I can identify with your Christmas and weather, and it all seems so strange! Totally the opposite to our usual Christmas, but so right to have to cold weather. I haven't rung, but will email when I get home. We leave on Friday for Heathrow, and fly Saturday. Have a great rest of your holiday.
Love, Dorothy.
