Cooma Cottage

The home of Hamilton Hume, first Australian born overland explorer... we pulled off the Hume Highway especially to have a little look around today but it was closed.
David's mother bought Cooma Cottage way back in 1968 and tried to give it to the National Trust but they wouldn't take it because it was in such a bad state of disrepair so she paid for a new, but exactly the same roof and the Trust did it up for Australia's Bicentennial in 1988... it looks a little bleak today doesn't it!
